Math/Science:
In math this week we finished up our multiplication unit. Students completed word problems using both Lattice and Traditional multiplication strategies and played mental math review games. On Thursday we reviewed the printed unit review sheet for the multiplication unit test next week. Students have been asked to take this sheet home, along with their books, to study over the weekend. I would encourage students to review the study sheet and make sure they understand the concepts on it. There are practice games and worksheet links on google docs if students would like additional practice.
In science we have started our Meteorologist For a Day project, students have been given a guided research manual to begin their work. This project is very large and has been broken into pieces, before the holidays we hope to get the majority of the research done so we can start the infographics and presentations in January.
