November 2nd- Weekly Blog

Hi Parents,

Just one note;

  • We are looking for volunteers for our field trip to the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary on Thursday November 15th, please email Mrs. Wall or Ms. Malinowski if you are interested!
In math this week we continued our work with Array Multiplication, using both base ten blocks and graph paper to create our arrays. Students challenged themselves by making arrays that were 2 digit by 2 digit and we discussed the possibility of creating arrays that were even larger (3 digit by 3 digit), great work kiddos! Next week we will finish up array's and move into Partial Product Multiplication.

In science this week we finished our in-class work on our Environmental Call to Action research and letter project. Students who did not finish their letters have brought these home to finish over the weekend, they are due on Monday November 5th (task outline, rubric, and letter template are all available on google docs). Next week we will start looking at the water cycle, both in terms of wetland ecosystems and weather! This should be a fun task that will connect both of the science units we are currently working through.

Have a great weekend!
