This week in class we have worked on creating a visual for our reader within our writing piece. For this activity, students picked a season to focus their writing on. In class, they wrote a rough copy and tomorrow they will be editing their work with a partner and adding additional details.
We have begun talking about First Nations within our country and traditions that some of the groups follow. We will continue this discussion throughout our timeline and discuss the impact that colonization had on the First Nations and Inuit. On Monday, we will start looking at the fur trade and the Metis culture.
